Maple Glazed Ham

Here’s a delicious glazed ham recipe that enhances the delicious taste of the toupie style ham.

Ingredients

 

 

    • 1 Lévesque toupie ham;
    • 1 bottle of your favourite beer;
    • 1 cup of chicken broth;
    • 2/3 cup of Maple Syrup;
    • 3 Tbsp Dijon mustard;
    • 1 minced onion;
    • 1 minced garlic clove;
    • 1 Tbsp butter;
    • Spices of your choice and ground pepper.

Preparation step by step

Step 1

Preheat oven temperature to 325° F (160° C).

Step 2

Take the ham out of the bag and remove any other packaging material that may be included. Put the ham in an ovenproof dish. Put aside.

Step 3

In a large pan, melt butter on a medium-high heat and brown the onion and garlic. Then, add the beer, the chicken broth, the Maple Syrup, the mustard, the spices, the pepper while stirring. Bring the mixture to a boil then reduce  by half. 

Step 4

Pour the mixture over the ham and bake for 40 minutes. During cooking, baste the ham regularly with the cooking syrup. Once cooked, serve the maple glazed ham cut into slices and accompany with potatoes and vegetables.
