Slow cooking ham
The secret for a juicy ham is to simmer for a long time. The classic way to prepare ham on the bone, just like our grandmothers used to do.

Ingredients

- 1 Lévesque bone-in ham;
- 1 yellow onion;
- 4 to 5 garlic clove;
- 3/4 cup of Dijon Mustard;
- Spices to taste.
Preparation step by step
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325°F or 160°C.
Step 2
Get the Lévesque bone-in ham out of its bag, remove the netting and any other packing material that may be included. Place the ham in a roasting pan or an ovenproof dish with a lid.
Step 3
In a bowl, combine mustard and spices, then spread over the ham. Mince the garlic and onion and distribute in the baking dish around the ham.
Step 4
Gently fill the roasting pan with clear tap water to completely cover the ham, taking care not to remove the mustard.
Step 5
Put the lid on the roasting pan and place in oven for 9 hours. Make sure to keep an eye on the cooking process.
